Differentiate Quality Led Displays
A smaller pixel pitch means there is less empty space between pixels. This equates to higher pixel density and improved screen resolution. On the other hand, smaller pixel pitch universally provides greater resolution, but is more expensive.
The brightness of an LED display is solely determined by the quality of the LED die. The brightness of indoor full-color screen is more than 700cd / m². Due to the sunlight and longer viewing distance for outdoor displays, , its brightness requires 5000cd/ m² or above.
Depending on the use you want to give your LED screen, it will need to be seen in one position or another, so the viewing angle is closely related to this fact. So that it can be seen correctly, it is important that they have a horizontal and vertical viewing angle between 120º and 160º.
Color reducibility of an LED display affect the visible authenticity. The higher the consistentence with that of the playback source, the output display color will have a better output authenticity.
Color Sharpness & Contrast
The sharpness and contrast of the LED display can be adjusted by control system, with a video processor or a control card. The sharpness and contrast of the LED display is also determined by the size of light spot and the mask color
To ensure that the image is not being distorted, raised or recessed partly, and to prevent inconsistent color and brightness, which will cause dead viewing angle, it is very important to control the surface flatness of an LED display. Usually the surface flatness of an LED display will be within ± 1mm, which is a very important procedure in the production process.
Mosaic or dead spot phenomenon
Mosaic is the small cubic blocks which are always bright or black on the display screen. It is a module necrosis phenomenon. The main reason is that the quality of the connector used in the display screen is not good. A good LED display has to test thoroughly to prevent Mosaic in which will affect the visible experience.
White Balance effect
The white balance is mainly determined by the control system of the LED screen. And the white balance effect is one of the important indicators to differentiate quality of different LED displays. In color science, it will display pure white color when the ratio of the three primary colors, i.e. red: green: blue is 1: 4.6: 0.16. In general, we will check if there is bluish or yellowish green for the white balance, if the actual ratio is slightly off, the white balance will also follow.
The color transition is based on the module, and color block means the obvious color difference between adjacent modules. The phenomenon is mainly due to the poor control system, the low gray level or low scanning frequency.
As the LED display screen may explore in the outside environment, so that a good protection for the LED display is important. Therefore, it should be waterproof and dustproof to have a certain adaptability to the ever changing environment.
Long time working capability
LED displays usually need to work continuously for long time, so it has to ensure trouble-free even under long working with over 160 hours. Thus, it needs good quality of power supplies, wires, PCB boards, fans, and control systems.
For LED display, it generally needs 200HZ or above for normal usage. While the higher the refreshment will have the stronger sense of reality, it will sometimes require more than 2000HZ.
